Quik-Pix (r)
is something we invented to add to the fun at your event and is exclusive to
Rick Ryan Entertainment. We begin with photos you provide (optional) and run them
in a randomized slideshow presentation. As the evening goes on we shoot digital
photos at the event and add them to the slideshow, morphing it from a "memories"
presentation to "what's happening right now" show.
I know, "Everyone is so used to media these days.
What's the big deal?" What we've found is that guests love the "Memories" portion
but, honestly, their attention begins to wane once they've seen all the shots. However,
once the Quik-Pix begin appearing on-screen, they get a real thrill in seeing themselves
on the big screen, having fun with their friends, all while the fun is still happening.
It keeps the presentation fresh and adds a whole new dimension to the celebration.
The response has always been nothing short of amazing. In short it just works, every
single time.
Are we trying to be pro photographers? Absolutely
not. We'll leave that artistry to the experts. As a side note also, we
never use flash and we take great care to make certain that we stay out of the way
of "the real photographer". What we are accomplishing, however, is to make excellent
use of media and technology to enhance your event and the best part, we give you
the dig pics afterwards, our compliments. Add them to your collection or share with
friends and family.
In addition to the photos, you'll also notice a list of "Shout-Outs". These are
text-messages that we receive throughout the evening from your guests. Dont worry,
each message is carefully screened and approved before it ever makes it to the big
screen and we adhere strictly to a "family friendly" policy. In addition to shout-outs,
your guests may also send in their song requests via text-message. This feature
is great for those guests who may be too shy to approach the DJ directly but they'll
often make use of texting. It helps to keep them involved and, more importantly,
it keeps them at your event.
